1. Appointments & Cancellations
-All grooming services are by appointment only.
-Clients are expected to arrive on time. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in a cancelled or rescheduled appointment.
-Clients must provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and no-shows will incur a fee of 100% the minimum service fee.
2. Health and Vaccination Requirements
-Clients affirm that their dog(s) are up-to-date on all vaccinations.
-Any known medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or behavioral issues must be disclosed before services begin.
-Mountain Hounds Dog Grooming reserves the right to refuse service to pets deemed unfit for grooming due to health or temperament concerns.
3. Aggressive or Difficult Pets
-Aggressive behavior must be disclosed at the time of booking.
-If a pet poses a risk during grooming, the service may be stopped. A handling fee may be charged if additional time or caution is needed.
-Muzzles or other safety measures may be used if necessary.
4. Matted Coats
-In cases of severe matting, the coat may need to be shaved for the dog’s comfort and safety.
-The client acknowledges that shaving a matted coat may expose pre-existing skin conditions and assumes full responsibility for any effects.
-Mountain Hounds Dog Grooming will not be held liable for injury or irritation resulting from mat removal.
5. Accidents and Emergencies
-All grooming is performed with care and attention. However, grooming equipment can potentially cause nicks, scratches, or other minor injuries.
-In case of a medical emergency, Mountain Hounds Dog Grooming will attempt to contact the client. If the client cannot be reached, the salon is authorized to seek veterinary care at the owner’s expense.
6. Fleas and Ticks
-Dogs must be free of fleas and ticks when brought to the salon.
-If a dog is found to have fleas or ticks at check-in, we reserve the right to refuse service and ask that the pet not enter the salon.
-If fleas are discovered during the grooming process, the pet will receive a mandatory flea bath and an additional fee will be added to the total grooming cost. The owner will also be required to collect the dog promptly after treatment to prevent further infestation.
-Continued or repeated flea presence may result in refusal of future services.
7. Liability Waiver
-The client agrees not to hold Mountain Hounds Dog Grooming or its staff responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or conditions resulting from grooming services, provided all reasonable care and precautions are taken.
8. Payment Terms
-Full payment is required before the dog leaves the salon.
-Prices are determined by breed, size, coat condition, behavior, and time required to complete the grooming.
-Accepted payment methods include: [Cash, Credit, Debit.].
9. Photography & Media
-Mountain Hounds Dog Grooming may take before/after photos of dogs for use on social media or promotional materials.
-If you prefer your pet not be photographed, please notify us in writing.
10. Timely Pick-Up Policy
-You will be notified when your dog will be ready for pick-up via txt at least 20 minutes beforehand.
-A 15-minute grace period is allowed after the time stated in this notification.
-After 15 minutes, a late pick-up fee of $1 per minute will apply.
-Repeated late pick-ups may result in denial of future appointments.
-This policy is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. Prolonged stays after grooming can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety for dogs. Timely pick-up also allows us to maintain a calm environment and stay on schedule for all clients.
11. Appointment Reminders
-Reminder text messages are sent as a courtesy only and should not be relied upon or used as a second appointment confirmation. It is the client’s responsibility to remember their scheduled appointment. Failure to receive a reminder does not exempt clients from late cancellation or no-show fees.
